"Christopher Walken
stars in this entertaining and unusual live-action version of Charles
Perrault's classic children's tale. Corin (Jason Connery), a young man
living on the streets, inherits a cat with some special talents. Saddened by
his master's destitution, the cat, Puss (Walken), pledges to bring him fame
and wealth. After some madcap musical adventures, Puss keeps his promise,
however a vile ogre threatens their good fortune. Walken, who is an
accomplished singer and dancer, considers this one of his best films."

"One
of my favorite movies I did, no-one has seen. I have a video of it: a movie
version of Puss in Boots. It’s a wonderful childrens’ story: it’s about a
cat who gets these boots and becomes a man. There’s this orange and white
cat walking around, and then suddenly it was me. I had my hair dyed red, I
had a moustache and I looked like a cat. It was very funny. It’s a musical.
I sing and dance in it. It’s amazing what they do. No money. I didn’t get
paid anything." (CW)
"Two feet... They're not as
easy as I thought they'd be, Master!"
